The Management Survey

Refurbishment / demolition survey

A demolition or refurbishment survey is required for properties that are undergoing major works or demolition, and it aims to locate any asbestos-containing materials.

A demolition or refurbishment survey involves a thorough and intrusive inspection and a comprehensive sampling of any suspected asbestos-containing materials. The samples are then analysed by a UKAS-accredited laboratory, and the results are used to confirm the presence and extent of the materials.

A demolition or refurbishment survey also includes a material assessment, which evaluates the potential for the materials to release asbestos fibres into the air.

Report
